Elastic Adhesive Bandage

Elastic Adhesive Bandage

Elastic Adhesive Bandage – Ankle, knee, hand, and wrist taping can all be done with the elastic adhesive bandage (EAB), a thin strapping bandage. Sports physiologists regularly utilise it to prevent and treat sprained ankles. Any muscle or joint structure in the body can receive targeted localised compression and support from an elastic support bandage, which is a stretchy piece of fabric. They are perfect for preventing strains, sprains, and other minor injuries, but they must be correctly wrapped in order to offer appropriate support.

Sticking plasters or dressings known as adhesive bandages are used for minor wounds that are not life-threatening and are not severe enough to call for a full-sized bandage. They shield wounds from additional harm, rubbing, bacteria, and dirt .They retain skin cuts closed and treat wounds. A lengthy strip of flexible fabric that can be wrapped around a sprain or strain is called a compression bandage. It is also known as a Tensor bandage or an elastic bandage. The bandage’s light pressure helps to minimise swelling, which may make the damaged region feel better.
Apply the bandage firmly but not too tightly, and then fold it over and tie the end to keep it in place. You may also use a bandage clip, a safety pin, or some tape. Ask if the bandage feels too tight as soon as it is applied, and check the blood flow by pushing a fingernail or a small patch of skin until it turns pale.
