Helix angle – The helix angle is the angle formed by a file’s long access and cutting edge. Debris collection and rotational direction are both significantly influenced by helix angle. A constant or increasing helix angle is possible (changes along the length of a file). Accelerating helix angles can reduce the torsion stress on a file by reducing the screw that is present when the majority of a file’s working surface is engaged.
