PIPTOZUM 4.5GM INJECTION – Piperacillin/tazobactam is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. It is a penicillin antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. 4.5 gramme of Piptaz Two medications are combined in an injection. It is employed in the treatment of bacterial infections such as tonsillitis, sinusitis, otitis media, respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, boils, abscesses, cellulitis, wound infections, bone infections, and infections of the oral cavity. Pneumonia and bacterial skin, gynaecological, and abdominal (stomach area) infections are all treated with the injection of piperacillin and tazobactam. Piperacillin belongs to the group of drugs known as penicillin antibiotics. It functions by eliminating the infection-causing microorganisms. It is unknown whether Piperacillin/Tazobactam is safe and effective for use in children under the age of two. There are no available results from controlled clinical research. For the majority of indications, 5 to 14 days is the typical length of treatmentWith the aim of treating a variety of conditions, the broad-spectrum antibiotic piperacillin/tazobactam is often given intravenously (i.v.) piggyback over 0.5 to 4.0 hours. The high osmolality of the solution prevents piperacillin/tazobactam from being administered via intravenous push (IVP), yet it has been determined to be safe and well tolerated in all clinical trials. One fatality was thought to be related to drugs. Due to negative experiences, most frequently diarrhoea and severe skin reactions, 38 patients were removed from the trials.

PIPTOZUM 4.5GM INJECTION  – .A beta-lactam/beta-lactamase inhibitor combination known as piperacillin/tazobactam has a wide range of antibacterial activity that can inhibit the majority of Gram-positive and Gram-negative aerobic bacteria as well as anaerobic bacteria, including many pathogens that produce beta-lactamases.
Bacteria are killed by piperacillin by preventing the production of bacterial cell walls. The penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) inside the bacterial cell walls are where it preferentially binds.
An antibiotic called piperacillin and tazobactam belongs to the class of drugs known as beta-lactamase inhibitors and penicillins. It functions by eradicating bacteria and halting their growth.
