Despite having a similar name, an echocardiogram, which is a scan of the heart, is not the same as an ECG.

When using an ECG
To help identify and keep track of heart abnormalities, an ECG is frequently used in conjunction with other testing.

It can be used to explore heart-related symptoms such dizziness, shortness of breath, palpitations (suddenly detectable heartbeats), and chest pain.

An ECG can aid in identifying:

When the heart beats too swiftly, too slowly, or irregularly, it is said to have arrhythmias.
A buildup of fatty substances can cause coronary heart disease, which causes the heart’s blood flow to be obstructed or stopped.
cardiac attacks, in which the heart’s blood supply is suddenly cut off.

Modern anaesthesia machines Orracle Anaesthesia Workstation come with the same features and technology as cutting-edge intensive care unit ventilators. In order to support ventilation in patients who are kept on spontaneous breathing with an LMA, ventilation modes including pressure support ventilation (PSV) and volume assist ventilation have been introduced. Both pressure- and volume-controlled ventilation can also include coordinated intermittent obligatory ventilation breaths. As a safety feature, PSV-Pro®, a function of GE Healthcare workstations, offers apnoea backup in the pressure support mode. When using spontaneous types of ventilation, newer machines like the Draeger Zeus® use the turbine technology for ventilation, which has the benefit of nearly unlimited inspiratory gas flow.
