It works by killing harmful microorganisms and cleans the affected area. Common side effects of Chlorhexidine Gluconate Taste change, Staining of teeth, Hard Dental Plaque.

Chlorhexidine Gluconate should only be used after meals because it may change the flavour of food and drink.
When using chlorhexidine gluconate, wait 30 minutes before brushing your teeth, washing your mouth (with water or any other mouthwash), eating, or drinking.

Some dental fillings may become permanently discoloured as a result of chlorhexidine gluconate. Brush and floss every day, paying particular attention to the areas that start to discolour, to reduce discoloration.

Chlorhexidine Gluconate must not be combined or diluted with any other product.

Stay away from your eyes and ears. Rinse your eyes well with water if the solution gets in them.
