COTTON ROLL (PACK OF 1000)

COTTON ROLL (PACK OF 1000) -A spherical clump of sterilised cotton that is utilised in a variety of dental treatments as packing or absorbent material. Rolls of dental cotton are used to absorb saliva and other liquids, helping to keep the working surfaces dry and free of extra moisture. At the beginning of treatment, a patient may be given one of these little rolls of cotton. Because the continuous roll of cotton may be cut to fit the application, cotton wool rolls are perfect for first aid in cleaning wounds, cuts, and burns. They are also excellent for padding. Zigzag cotton wool pads are excellent for first aid as well, but they work particularly well on delicate skin to prevent rashes and discomfort. Cotton rolls must be placed along the buccal mucosa, particularly across the parotid gland ducts for maxillary teeth, in order to perform Cotton Roll Isolation.

Cotton rolls are positioned in the buccal vestibule and the floor of the mouth (between the lower buccal mucosa and underneath and/or between the tongue) for the mandibular teeth.
